Policy and Effectiveness
As well as the latest information about our own programmes and projects, here you’ll find many carefully selected links to other organisations associated with international development and the voluntary sector in Scotland.
But this section is about much more than information. Organisations can get involved with the various areas of our work – whether it’s improving effectiveness or telling your positive stories about international development.
For organisations we’ve developed a freely available, practical tool that our members are already using to improve their work. In this section there’s also plenty of links to sources of support and information on effectiveness and good practice in international development.
Even if you’re not able to attend one of our training courses, in this section we aim to make all the materials publicly available following the course.
Find out about the key institutions that affect international development policy, and how you can join us in advocating for change for the benefit of communities overseas.
Find sources of advice and support for working with the media, and find out what NIDOS is doing and how your organisation can get involved.
Climate change is a particularly urgent issue in our sector. Here you’ll find links to some of the best online resources from the main organisations working on climate change.
