DFID Development Innovation Fund Launched

The fund aims to support a broad range of small scale one-off projects that target poverty in the developing world and include a development awareness component in the UK.

Applications for funding of up to £60,000 for projects covering a maximum one year period are invited. The fund is open only to not for profit organisations for work in any low or lower-middle income developing country. 100% of project costs can be covered. The Fund will be operational for an initial 16 months from 2010. Applications can be made at any time but will be assessed within one of three funding rounds.
