Services for Members

Workshops

NIDOS provides regular international development focussed workshops for our member organisations. During the next year, all NIDOS members qualify for subsidised rates to attend a variety of workshops covering many aspects of funding, organisational development and programme development. Click here for the full programme and to reserve your place on a workshop.

Good Practice support

NIDOS is developing a programme of support for members on developing Good Practice. Members have asked in particular for debate on what we mean by “Good Development”, support in developing more effective southern partnerships, advice and information on Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact assessment; and strengthening of governance and organisational development.

Funding surgeries

NIDOS is able to deliver a limited number of funding surgeries free of charge for member organisations. Through these surgeries we’ll review your current funding strategies and applications, and offer tailored advice on strengthening your approach to funding. Contact us for more information.

NIDOS Groups

NIDOS Groups allow organisations with a thematic or geographic similarity to meet and discuss issues of shared concern, and to identify potential areas for collaborative work. There are currently four groups - the International Volunteering Group, the Malawi Group, the Small NGOs Group and the Funding Group. Click here to find out more about NIDOS groups.

Online funding directories

NIDOS subscribes to a number of online funding directories, including www.trustfunding.org.uk and www.companygiving.org.uk. These directories provide up-to-date information and are an excellent starting point if you’re researching funding opportunities for your organisation. All NIDOS members can access them free of charge by visiting the NIDOS Office or one of the NIDOS member host organisations. Contact us or one of the host organisations to book a session. NIDOS’ own directory of international development funding is also available to NIDOS members.

Resource library

NIDOS’ library of publications and journals focuses predominantly on international development, but also includes funding directories and information on organisational and strategic development. Subscriptions include ‘Journal of International Development’, the ‘BOND Networker’, ‘Third Sector’ and ‘Third Force News’. Please contact us for a full list of materials.

Projector Hire

NIDOS’ digital project is available for hire by members at £10 per day – please contact us for more information.
